Appearing at the Upton Jazz Fringe on Sunday 24th June : Award-winning songstress Livia King presents a selection of cabaret songs, musical theatre and perhaps an operatic surprise or two. Accompanied by Tim Sidford.
Malvern-born Livia King trained at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she was winner of the award for Best Aria in the 2016 Ashleyan Opera Prize. Her operatic roles include: Donna Anna (Don Giovanni, Geraldine (A Hand of Bridge) and Yum Yum (The Mikado). Musical Theatre roles include: Cinderella (Into the Woods), Desiree (A Little Night Music) and Cosette (Les Miserables). Since graduating she has travelled the world as a “Voice of Silversea” for Silversea Cruises performing everything from the Beatles to Bizet. Livia has a special talent for cabaret performance, in particular, works by Weill and Sondheim.
