Rachel is looking forward to….
Every year we ask Rachel, our Music Director to tell us who she’s looking forward to seeing and hearing at the festival. Putting her on the spot is so unfair… but here goes…
‘I’m looking forward to Dan Cassidy Quartet – top quality swing, with fabulous violin playing; Budapest Ragtime Band for brilliant musicianship combined with great entertainment; Harlem Meercats for that authentic Ellington sound, arrangements to die for – makes the band sound like a big band; Alan Barnes with Robert Fowler and Bruce Adams – The Count (love Basie) and the Duke (nothing better than some Johnny Hodges) ; and Washboard Resonators – hugely entertaining duo with multi instruments’. Thanks Rachel. Not long now to our 34th Festival. Last weekend in June as always. All welcome.
