Alex Clarke will be at Upton Jazz in June – Alex was a finalist at the BBC Young Jazz Musician Awards in 2020; winner of the Rising Stars class at the British Jazz Awards too. She is a versatile and talented saxophonist. Her quartet features top players such as David Newton, Clark Tracey and Dave Green. They released the CD ‘Only a Year’ in 2022. Throughout February ‘Only a Year’ will be Alun Jones CD of the month on Longside internet radio. Alun plays a variety of Jazz from 9.00pm to 10.00pm every Sunday so treat yourself and listen in. Alex will also be appearing at Upton with the Jake Leg Jug Band and with Jeremy Huggett’s Boogie Band. As of 31st January over half of the Upton weekend tickets have gone.
