The Upton Jazz Festival is an annual highlight in the UK jazz calendar. It’s continued success is easily explained. It takes place in a beautiful setting, has an attractive and diverse programme split between ticketed events and free pub and cafe gigs and, very importantly, nurtures lots of new talent.
This last year was particularly buzzy with the Tudor House Museum providing a fabulous new and intimate venue which both made for a fantastic atmosphere and opportunity for people to support a local tourist attraction.
Coming to sing for the Jazz is one of the highlights of our little choir’s year as it gives a real opportunity for performance outside of our school which is valuable as well as fun. Kate from Upton Primary School.
