Do you want to play at Upton Jazz Festival ? Our 2018 Fringe is taking off….!

The very first Upton Jazz Fringe performance space was in 2017…a gazebo, on a sloping patch of grass, outside the Tourist Information Centre. On the Sunday it blew a gale. Despite that it was a resounding success and we are doing it ‘properly’ this year at the Swan Hotel with a stage which is usually put up for the Blues Festival, covered, and in a premier waterside position. In short, we have been promoted…!!

The Fringe runs alongside the main festival, open to the public. An opportunity for anyone to just come along and play – buskers, young talented folk, local musicians, and maybe a jam session too. We also presented a few experienced performers, people just trying to break through, and we build the programme around them. The first 7 bands/performers have been booked and the 2018 Fringe will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
